THE WRATH OF ALMIGHTY GOD!

Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Isa 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

(Revelation 20:15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Hell is not a very popular subject today. Not that it ever was. Many people don’t even believe it exists. The Bible, however, says it does exist and that many will spend eternity there.

There are some religions which teach that Hell is nonexistant. They are so very wrong and they are leading many on the path to destruction. For millions of people it is already eternally too late.

None of us are worthy to excape that great lake of fire. We all deserve to be with the devil and his angels forever. But God loves us and cares about us. He wants us to spend eternity with Him. That’s why Christ died on the Cross to save us from our sins. If we reject this salvation there is no hope for us.

We read in (Hebrews 2:3) How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Escape from what? From the wrath of almighty God, and from the punishment which awaits all unbelievers.

Whatever amount of time we have on earth is given to us by the grace of God. Our very lives hang by a slender thread. From the moment we are born we are headed toward death. Like a speeding locmotive headed toward a washed out bridge, we are headed for eternity. If you haven’t accepted Christ as savior it’s as if you were walking over the depths of hell on a rotten wooden bridge which could collapse at any second.

The very next heartbeat could be your last. Just think about it, one heartbeat away from eternity! Are you ready to face eternity? Are you ready to stand in the presence of Almighty God? How will He judge your life, will your name be found in the Book of Life? Only those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb will have their names written in that book. Those who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, and turned their lives over to Him.

In Matthew 5:29-30 Jesus says, And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

No person or thing on this earth is worth missing Heaven. No desire or ambition, career or relationship is worth eternity without God. We all need to examine our lives and see if there is anything between our soul and the Master. Anything that would be displeasing to God or detremental to furtherence of His Kingdom.

We are so wrapped up in our daily lives sometimes that we push thoughts of eternity and of our own mortality aside. When we are young we think that we have a long life ahead of us, but that is not guaranteed. You might think that you will be able to make peace with God at the last of your life, but you might not have that opportunity. All of us are just a heartbeat away from eternity.

Think about your loved ones, your friends, your neighbors. How many of them are ready for eternity, how many have accepted Christ. How many have already gone out into an eternity without God. The real torment of Hell is not the flames but that seperation from God which lasts forever and ever.
